Biography

Originally from Vancouver, I discovered Nelson in 1994 on a quest to find a vibrant, artistic community to raise my daughter. Since then I have been involved in the creation and support of several conferences and community events, both artistic and educational.

I became involved in art therapy, meditation and dance while taking a self-care sabbatical from social work. Through the personal discovery process, I became inspired to pursue Art Therapy as a profession. I trained at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute from 1996-1998, following which I opened a private practice.

Currently working as an art therapist, supervisor and workshop facilitator, I continue to be involved in dance, music, art and educational events in the community. I have offered presentations and workshop locally and provincially. My goal is to expand internationally, offering workshops and educational presentations at retreat centers and organizations, and to assist in emergency response and program development in other countries.
